Originally from Tasmania, Brigid is now based in Kent. Blending Australian warmth with British finesse in her voice work, her native accent is a subtle, approachable Australian, ideal for natural, engaging reads. With years of UK training, she is frequently booked for authentic British RP, offering clarity and versatility.
Her work spans audiobooks (80 titles recorded), video games, animation, commercials, corporate narration, and radio dramas like Doctor Who and Dark Shadows. She also provides live event commentary, covering everything from jousting tournaments to dog shows.
Brigid is proficient in Australian, British RP, and Heightened RP, alongside General American. Her audiobook and drama work showcases Lancashire, French, London, Welsh, Scottish, Cockney, Irish, Northern, and Southern American character accents.
Brigid has been narrating for the past 10 years and has a large collection of audiobooks on Audible. Genres include Wholesome Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Historical Romance, Chick Lit, Erotic Romance, Mystery and Thrillers, Non Fiction and Biographies.
Accents have varied from Australian, British RP and American Narrations, with regional British accents often done for characters too.
Brigid won an Outstanding Achievement award for Narration at the MLC awards 2020.
She has also voiced many regional and national commercials, with both her Australian and British accents as well as E-Learning, ELT and Corporate jobs and most recently several characters for Video Games, including a Brash Australian Executive in Raft, and the sexy Isis, goddess of Life and Magic, in Rome. She has also recorded several Radio Dramas for Big Finish Productions, playing a huge variety of characters including; a sexy French ghost called Danielle Roget alongside Colin Baker in Dark Shadows The House by the Sea; the Australian Dream Commando Wahn alongside Sylvester McCoy in Dr Who Dreamtime; and the very English and very soon to be possessed Emma Finney in Dark Shadows: Beneath the Veil; along with various character voices including a loud American on a train and Louis Tully the American whose husband is murdered by a witch.
She has recorded children’s musicals for Shrubshall and Free and In The Wings, and has sung on stage in many musicals as well. For several years she was a regular commentator for a live Medieval Jousting Tournament at Lulworth Castle and now commentates live for the Dog Show at Tractorfest in Biddingdon.
