Martin has spent decades working in radio for the BBC, where he honed his broadcasting skills.
Over the course of his career, Martin developed the necessary expertise to make him a talented and well-liked newsreader, sports reporter, commentator and presenter. Given that range of output, he can adapt to many different kinds of projects, be they serious or light-hearted, corporate or commercial, and is more than happy to take direction where needed.
Offering English in warm, calming and reassuring tones, Martin can adapt his natural style to suit. If the project demands an injection of excitement and pace, he can deliver.
Martin is comfortable in standard RP or with a hint of his natural Midlands accent (born and bred in Coventry) with an age range of 30s-50+.
Whilst he continues to work for the BBC, among the podcasts Martin also contributes to is a comedy one he created himself. Called Don’t Share With Mother, Martin reads offbeat stories that he’s written and is solely responsible for the production and publication of each episode.
Studio: Martin records with an Audio-Technica AT2035 cardioid condenser microphone and uses Audacity on his MacBook to edit. The studio is connected to Zoom.
