In 1992, as 3 times Olympic medalist and a World, European and Commonwealth Champion, Kriss was awarded the MBE in recognition of his services to the country through athletics.
Kriss is available to hire for speaking and hosting engagements at Great British Speakers
Kriss began his international athletics career in 1983 as a member of the 4×400 metre relay squad, helping Britain clinch the gold in Tokyo in 1991. However, his greatest individual triumph was his gold medal in the 1990 European Championships, beating David Hemery’s 22-year-old British record for 400m hurdles, a record which Kriss still holds to this day.
His move into TV presenting began when he hosted The Big Breakfast (Channel4). This was followed by hosting as co-presenter on BBC’s children’s TV show Record Breakers.
Today, Kriss hosts and appears as a guest speaker on a variety of television and radio programmes to discuss topics ranging from sport to business, having under-taken an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) programme at Ashridge Business School, to augment his twenty-five-plus year’s experience gained through professional speaking, training, and facilitating presentations and workshops in the corporate arena.
He is also an accredited personal coach, having qualified at the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, as well as a Clarity 4D and Motivational Maps Practitioner.
Kriss’ infectious personality and reputation for being truly engaging, inspiring and informative, has made him a very popular and attractive advocate in both the business and presenting spheres.
