Phil’s voice has been described as “rich and melodious, with tumbling hills of suede”.
An award-winning, versatile voice actor, Phil’s natural accent is a warm and mellifluous, middle-aged Southern Welsh. He often also supplies VO in the Welsh language.
He has a wide pitch range, which helps him create believable characters of a wide range of ages and some serious depth for mood and gravitas. When asked to favour a niche, dramatic work inspires him most, although Phil enjoys working in the full spectrum of voice artistry. Phil is also happy to take scripts where singing is required.

One way or another, Phil has been using his voice professionally since childhood. Phil was drawn to voice acting after a poor AI voice was supplied to him for a project he was working on. Phil replaced the offending voice with his own and was instantly hooked on VO, setting out on a programme of continuous training that ultimately led to him being awarded the One Voice Award for Best Performance in Web/TV Commercial 2024.
Phil has served hundreds of happy clients all over the globe, in English and in Welsh, with voiceovers to lend their projects gravitas, depth and emotion. His voice has appeared on networked US TV Commercials to Explainers for blue chip animation and games. He is happy to provide any accent where needed for smaller scripts (given a little time for research) but has enjoyed providing fuller scripts in regional Welsh accents, RP, General Scottish and West Country accents, and enjoys recording multiple character scripts for clients.
Phil has enjoyed working in almost all disciplines of the industry including dubbing and ADR. While his voice has covered many aspects of the industry, Phil especially enjoys scripts that call for a dramatic approach and allow him to explore the full range of his versatility.
