At Great British Speakers, we’re here to help make your event successful. Using our awareness days calendar, you can easily plan ahead to ensure you secure the best speaker for your day. Our corporate events calendar is also here to inspire you on ways to help motivate your audience and/or employees this year.
Some of the biggest events on the Awareness Days calendar include International Women’s Day (March 8th) and Black History Month (October). Both have become pivotal for raising awareness of EDI concerns within society and the workplace.
We also focus on the importance of Mental Health, with World Mental Health Day (10th October) and Mental Health Awareness Week (12th – 18th May 2025), as well as International Men’s Day (November 19th), which is a powerful reminder for men to take care of their own health and mental well-being.
The calendar below includes all these and many more occasions. However, we know there are many more important awareness days than those we’ve listed, so we will continue to update our events calendar as often as possible to provide you with the latest event news and the best topical speakers on the circuit.

An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 1 of June, repeating indefinitely
Pride Month, celebrated every June, promotes inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community in society and the workplace. It provides a safe space to discuss LGBTQ+ issues, foster allyship, and highlight the importance of workplace inclusivity. By creating an equitable environment, employers help employees feel valued, leading to greater engagement and productivity.
An LGBTQ+ Pride Month Speaker can support this mission by educating staff on diverse identities, challenging exclusionary behaviour, encouraging open discussions, and promoting allyship—which proven to reduce suicidal thoughts among LGBTQ+ individuals.
At Great British Speakers, we’ve worked hard to secure a team of professional equality and inclusion speakers who are often booked to give educational talks on the inclusivity of gender identity, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ rights.
Motivational speaker Ben Smith has delivered over 400 talks reaching nearly 100,000 people since completing his 401 Challenge, to raise money for the LGBTQ+ anti-bullying charity, Stonewall. His teaching includes healing through support, achieving goals and, above all, proving that with happiness and a strong foundation, anything is possible. The 401 Foundation, which was set up in response to Ben’s accomplishments undertaking The 401 Challenge, offers grants to help communities and individuals build confidence and self-esteem, and positively contribute to people’s mental well-being, especially to those within the LGBTQ+ community.
