Tommy Walsh is probably best known as the resident builder/presenter on the popular BBC gardening show Ground Force, alongside gardeners Alan Titchmarsh and Charlie Dimmock.
Before becoming a DIY presenter, Tommy was a builder by trade, so has extensive knowledge of the construction trade.

Tommy initially got involved with Ground Force whilst doing private building work for the executive producer. After seeing Tommy’s work and getting to know him, she asked him to do a screen test for the show. Since Ground Force began the show has gone from strength to strength and still runs today and has even had huge success in America.
Solo, Tommy has also presented several DIY shows for Discovery: DIY Survival, Challenge Tommy, Ultimate Workshop and BBC’s Death by Gardening.
Over the last decade, Tommy has been the face of Discovery Real Time filming Tommy Walsh’s Eco House, Tommy’s Fix your House for Free and Fix it Yourself.
Tommy’s since his own affordable tools range in association with Poundland and his distinctive London accent can be heard on various TV and radio campaigns including those for Pimlico Plumbers, Trade Supermarket and Direct Line.
