Having honed her print media skills as editor of her University magazine, Nikki then went on to gain broadcast experience with the BBC and ITV. She was headhunted by a local film production company in her final year of university, with which she went on to produce and present a number of features for UK television.

She relocated to China in early 2007, and launched Beijing’s first monthly bilingual fashion and lifestyle magazine, with the aim of presenting local creative talent, style, and expression to Beijing’s local and expatriate communities.

She returned to television in 2010, as the mainstay news anchor with World News on the CNC World cable-channel. She also featured as a regular presenter and reporter for a number of other programmes, as well as exercising her skills in producing and script-writing documentaries and features on China-centric topics.

She relocated to Moscow in 2015 to join the RT team at the Moscow HQ, where she regularly appears as a news anchor and reporter on the flagship world news programme – airing 24/7 to some 700 million households in more than 100 countries.

Highly experienced in dealing with rolling breaking news coverage, exploring unique story angles, and providing entertaining and informative onscreen content regardless of the working environment.

Skilled in moderating expert panels for global conferences on wide-ranging topics. Nikki is always proactive, endlessly optimistic, and incessantly curious.

Nikki was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2019 for her news presenting skills.

She speaks a competitive level of Mandarin – sufficient enough to conduct interviews and present to camera, and is also studying both Russian and French.
