Sean is perhaps best known to Doctor Who fans as the voice of Narvin in the Doctor Who audio dramas produced by Big Finish Productions. He has appeared in over 40 audio dramas in the Doctor Who range including Dark Eyes (winner of the BBC Award for Best Online Audio Drama), Series 1-7 of Gallifrey, the mini series I, Davros, Iris Wildthyme, Bernice Summerfield, Sherlock Holmes, The Confessions of Dorian Gray as well as adventures with the 4th 5th and 8th Doctors.
Born in South Wales, Seán trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and has worked as a voiceover artist for over 15 years, narrating TV documentaries for BBC2, BBC4 and Channel 4 as well as voicing many commercials for TV and radio, audio dramas, animation and corporate films with a wide range of clients from small independents to companies such as Aardman Animation and Universal Productions.
Sean’s voice quality is warm, strong, assured, confident and friendly with a hint of Welsh. He has perfect RP as well as an excellent ear for regional accents, impersonations and character voices for animation.
Whatever voice type or accent you’re after whether you’re looking for a straight narration or character voice for TV and radio commercials, corporate training and information, animation, talking books or audio drama – Sean can meet all your voice solutions.
I first worked with Sean as part of a huge voice ensemble cast, and he stood out head and shoulders. Realising that I couldn’t let that voice go away, I quickly created a specific character for him in an audio drama series I was producing, called ‘Gallifrey’, and so crafted the character of Narvin, which Sean brought to life effortlessly and charmingly. The character now has a unique place in the hearts of the series’ fans the world over – he even appears on fan teeshirts – a testament to Sean’s delicious voice and professionalism in studio. One of the finest – and nicest – actors I have ever worked with.

It’s been my pleasure to work with Sean for several years and I’ve always found him to be a versatile, confident and utterly professional performer. Voicework requites very specific skills and Sean possesses them in abundance.
-David Richardson (Producer at Big Finish Productions)
Sean is always a delight to have in the studio; great fun to work with, dedicated and enormously professional. He always delivers.
