Janine

Janine has been voicing radio commercials / instore commercials / onhold / IVR / e-learning packages & web audio since 2001.

Born in Kent to a Welsh mother and English father but brought up in Cardiff since the age of 3, she’s still not sure if she’s English or Welsh.  However, she does have a T-shirt that says “50% Welsh, halfway to Heaven!”, which sums up how Janine feels about The Land of Our Fathers (or Mothers in my case!).

Janine works from her ISDN studio in Cardiff and has recently upgraded to a ‘Studiobricks One’ soundproofed booth - which is sounding fabulous! Janine gets hired a lot to work in a Welsh accent but also receives regular bookings working in a neutral accent, voicing commercials for radio stations throughout the UK, as well as further afield. She also provides voice on-hold audio for lots of hotels and car dealerships, web audio for holiday homes in various locations throughout the UK, and a few instore commercials.  And as if thats not enough, Janine also does voice characters too – just take a listen to her character compilation and see what you think! To date Janine has voiced three audiobooks by Welsh authors - “A Cherished Freedom” by Joyce Stranger, “Facing the World” by Grace Thompson and “Loose Connections” by Rachel Trezise.

Alison

When you are greeted with 'Thank you for calling' instead of hello, you can tell how fervent and enthusiastic Alison is about voice over.

An established British voice over talent, Alison has a smooth, warm, relaxed, and sensual tone although after you have metaphorically emptied the bath and blown out the candles, Alison can also offer that down to earth smile in the voice maternal sound for upbeat family slice of life commercials.

In addition, Alison is able to provide a sincere and empathetic manner for on-hold and IVR work which can be dialed somewhere between pleasant and welcoming to slightly 'headmistressy'.  Alison also has a diverse array of characters including: Lady Penelope, Popeye, Marge Simpson, honeyed malevolent witches, Old hags and battleaxes a speciality! Alison works from her own home studio so can offer a fast turnaround at unsociable hours if required and has Skype capability. Alison is also within easy reach of London.
